Gerona

Spring 2017 we went for a road trip to Barcelona and on our way back we made a visit to Gerona. We made a short stroll to the Cathedral with its characteristic stairs leading to it. Kurt Hielscher made another photo in Gerona at the Convent de Sant Domènec, but at the time I did not know this, because I did not have his photoalbum from Spain in my possession yet. So this is a lucky shot, but I did not make the other one.

For a while we sat on a bench on the Plaça de la Independència and after that we went back to the van, crossing the Riu Onyar twice and enjoying the characteristic houses at its shores. Near the Pont d'en Gómez somehow I decided to make this photo, and this is the only photo I made, while I could have made dozens of photos from the shores over a length of a few hundreds of meters, so this really is a lucky shot. Here some more photos from Gerona on that day.

The second photo in Gerona by the hand of Kurt Hielscher is a beauty and made at the Convent of Sant Domènec, but that's something for a next time!
